Students must be at least 15 to take this course. DPS issues permits at 15. We do not accept 14 year-olds.

If the parent/guardian does not have a valid license, you will need to take someone that does with you to DPS in order that someone verifies that they can drive the 30 additional hours required for parents to do. Parents will still need to go as well. Check with DPS first before you sign your student up for class.

DPS will require a VOE, original or certified birth certificate, and your social security card. If you are failing, missing school, or in credit recovery your public/private school may deny you a VOE so check before signing up!

If you are moving, please bring this to our attention BEFORE you sign up so we can determine whether or not we can accommodate your timeline.

No internet access via phones, watches, blue tooth, ear pods, etc. by students. Students will be allowed to use their phones when the classroom instructor has them playing review games, etc. Students will place all devices up front in the classroom and in-console during driving.

You may wear a mask if you choose but please do not come to class sick.

Your student will bring home an informational sheet for you to read, sign, and return along with a copy for you to keep. The last class day they will bring a note home explaining what they still need to do for completing the driving if they haven’t done so. The last drive time they will be issued their certificate and a note explaining what to do for their license.

Your student will not be allowed to drive to our school by themselves. Someone over 21 must be in the front seat who has had a valid license for a year. This is the law.
