Adult Driver Education 18+

We take pride in providing the best and most conscientious driving instruction available.

This class is REQUIRED for adults 18-24 but anyone 25 or older can take the class and do the written exam required by DPS with us.

You can pay online with a card or in the office with cash. Minimum of 3 and maximum of 20 students.
On the day of class you will need to arrive at 8:50 and wait to be admitted. Please bring a photo ID. No late entry once registration is concluded.
You will take your written exam with us and be given your adult class certificate, forms, and instructions for going to DPS. You receive these at the end of class.
You must be at least 18 to take this course. This is the classroom only.
Once you get a permit from DPS, we do offer adult driving lessons as well as the road skills test for your license. These are additional fees.

Adult Driver Education is a 6-hour course where you take the written exam for DPS at the end of the class. Certificate, forms, and instructions will be given the same day!
Class Schedule is 9 am to 3:30pm
It is held at Gulf Coast Driving Academy located at 248 Plantation Drive Lake Jackson, TX.
There is a $50 no show fee if you do not show or do not cancel 48 hours prior to class.
Cancellations before your class date will be minus the fees (if paid on-line).
If you pay and miss two classes, there are NO REFUNDS.

The Adult Driver Education course costs $90 if paid online. We offer at $10 discount if paying with cash at the office.
This is the 6 hour classroom ONLY.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 18 TO TAKE THIS COURSE

ADULTS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 18 AND 24 MUST COMPLETE AN APPROVED 6 HOUR DRIVER EDUCATION COURSE PRIOR TO APPLYING FOR A DRIVERS LICENSE.

The Driver Education Course Exclusively for Adults includes information on alcohol and drug awareness; Texas Traffic Laws; highway signs, signals, and markings that regulate, warn, or direct traffic; and issues commonly associated with motor vehicle accidents, including poor decision-making, risk taking, impaired driving, distraction, speed, failure to use a safety belt, driving at night, failure to yield the right-of-way, and using a wireless communication device while operating a vehicle. As part of the course, participants must pass the Texas Department of Public Safety Laws, Road Signs and Road Rules written examinations. Persons successfully completing the exams at the school will not be required to take the written tests again at DPS.
